Surprisingly Gay

This may be a sensitive topic, but I have two guy friends who are gay and I’d like to share their stories and talk a little about how we deal with sexuality.

One friend is 45, let’s call him John, and the other is 63, let’s call him Bob. Both John and Bob were married and they each had two kids before coming out as gay.

John went away on a guy’s trip with a good buddy who was also married with kids.

To make a long story short, John and his buddy began sharing what was missing in their lives and the next thing he knew they were passionately and sexually engaging with each other.

How does the story end? Yes, they left their wives and kids and have been a couple for the past 8 years. Personally, I don’t get it, but they say they have never been this happy.

Bob’s story begins at a party. At this party, Bob met a guy who suggested they should meet for lunch one day since they were both divorced. At this lunch, Bob’s new friend suggested he consider a relationship with him.

As crazy as it sounds to me, Bob made another date to meet for dinner, but this time at his new friend’s house. That night, Bob experienced the most intense sexual pleasure he had ever had — better than with any woman he had been with.

Surprisingly, both my friends say that they never in a million years would have expected this for their lives, which raises a whole lot of questions in my mind. For example, is being gay a choice or is it just part of your internal wiring?

And do people know they are gay early in life, or can it be dormant and then awaken much later in life? And what should society’s role be in deciding what is okay and what is not okay in the bedroom?

Not only do most states ban same-sex marriage, but there are a lot of strange laws in effect about specific sexual behaviors. For example, necrophilia is legal in Louisiana and North Carolina while a good old fashioned blowjob is illegal!

How do laws like this come to be and should the state even be regulating sex this way?

Okay guys, whaddaya think?

Have you had a similar experience? Can you relate? Share your thoughts, your stories, your questions and advice so we can all learn from one another and make better decisions. Plus, you’ll get some huge karma points for doing so.

Have a great day and a great life.
